Since the beginning of the new Millenium, Men, Women and Children have been gathering together in Toledo, Ohio to meet other people with natural hair, learn more about the care, styling and maintenance of natural hair, and work together on individual projects as a result of networking.
From small groups of children, to one or two ladies, to even one hundred, Natural Hair Meetups have become a regular fixture in the Toledo area, bridging the gap between knowledge and the inquisitive.
Though very few photos remain over the years, it has always been Megan Davis’ passion to write and share information about natural hair after doing The Big Chop in 1997. Such liberation wouldn’t be know until later in her journey, but she certainly felt it was the most natural thing she had done next to writing.
